GREATEST QUESTION EVER!
Friend, if you were to die right now, are you 100% sure you would go to Heaven?
Many people have their own opinion about how to get to Heaven, but what you or I think is not the issue. The issue is how does God say we get to Heaven? The Bible says in 1 John 5:13, “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may KNOW that ye have eternal life”. God wants us to KNOW 100% for sure that we are going to Heaven when we die. He has made a simple plan of salvation for everyone. He wants everyone to understand that plan of salvation. He wants everyone to receive salvation as a free gift. The Bible tells how you can receive His salvation and KNOW 100% for sure that you are going to Heaven…
ADMIT... YOU ARE A SINNER
The Bible says in Romans 3:10, “As it is written, There is NONE righteous, NO, NOT ONE”; and then again in Romans 3:23, “For ALL HAVE SINNED, and come short of the glory of God”. In God’s eyes, there is not a single person who is righteous and has not sinned. That means that everyone is a sinner. I’ve sinned; you’ve sinned; everyone has sinned. We’re ALL sinners in the eyes of God.
UNDERSTAND... THERE IS A PRICE FOR YOUR SINS
The Bible says in Romans 6:23, “For the WAGES of sin is DEATH”. Because we are all sinners, we cannot go to Heaven. Our payment for a life of sin is not just a physical death, but also a spiritual death in Hell. The Bible says in Psalm 9:17, “The wicked shall be turned into Hell”. Our sins have separated us from God’s fellowship, cursed us to die physically some day, and condemned us to die spiritually forever in the flaming torments of Hell. Because we are all sinners, I deserve to go to Hell; you deserve to go to Hell; we all deserve to go to Hell. But there is one way out … JESUS!
BELIEVE... JESUS PAID THE PRICE FOR YOUR SINS
The Bible also says in Romans 6:23, “…but the GIFT of God is ETERNAL LIFE THROUGH JESUS CHRIST our Lord”. God wants you to go to Heaven, so He is offering you His Son as the free gift of salvation. The Bible says in 1 Timothy 1:15, “This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world TO SAVE SINNERS”. Because Jesus Christ, the Son of God, came into the world to be our Saviour, we now can have salvation through Him. The Bible says in Romans 5:8, “But God commendeth His love toward us in that, while we were yet sinners, CHRIST DIED FOR US”. By dying on the cross to pay the price for our sins and rising again from the dead on the third day, Jesus Christ became our substitute. He took the punishment of Hell that we deserve for our sins so that we could go to Heaven. He died for me; He died for you; He died for everyone.
TRUST... JESUS AS YOUR SAVIOUR
Now the way we can be 100% sure that we are going to Heaven when we die is to believe and accept what Jesus has done for us, and to trust Him as our personal Saviour. The Bible says in Romans 10:9, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt BELIEVE IN THINE HEART that God hath raised Him from the dead, THOU SHALT BE SAVED”. Friend, salvation is only by BELIEF and only through JESUS. Good deeds, baptism, sacraments, church membership, and anything else we try to add to BELIEF is what the Bible calls “WORKS”. The Bible explains in Ephesians 2:8-9, “For BY GRACE ARE YE SAVED THROUGH FAITH; and that NOT OF YOURSELVES: IT IS THE GIFT OF GOD: NOT OF WORKS, lest any man should boast”. Your “goodness” or “works” cannot save you. You can only be saved by receiving God's FREE GIFT of salvation through faith in His Son. Trust God’s Word – He wouldn’t lie to you!
The Bible says in Romans 10:13, “For WHOSOEVER shall call upon the name of the Lord SHALL BE SAVED”. Don’t wait! Call on Jesus right now! Don’t let anything get in your way of going to Heaven! Pray this prayer, mean it in your heart, and Jesus will save you!
“Lord Jesus, I know I’m a sinner. I’m sorry. Please forgive me. I believe You died for me to pay for my sins. Jesus, I trust You right now as my personal Saviour. Come into my heart and save me so that I can go to Heaven when I die. Amen.”
Friend, if you just believed that prayer, then REJOICE! You’re going to Heaven! The Bible says in John 3:36, “He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life”. Everlasting life is spending eternity in Heaven with Jesus … with no fear of Hell!
